Call of Duty Will Never End
Historical armed conflict and Call of Duty go hand-in-hand

The latest installments in the Call of Duty franchise have created a polarized community of fans of the franchise. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare remaster continues to generate positive feedback while Infinite Warfare has become the center of vexation, especially when compared to EA's Battlefield 1.
A Call of Duty game has released every year since 2003, with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare being the vanguard of modern multiplayer video games. While some have argued that the franchise needs a break from becoming stale, similar to what Ubisoft is doing with Assassin's Creed, but it seems Activision disagrees.
In an interview with Marketplace Activision Blizzard Bobby Kotick explained that:
"We've had Call of Duty games played on virtually every console for the last 14 years," he told Marketplace. "So the idea of having a game that centers around armed conflict through history...you never run out of ideas for Call of Duty games. There will always be Call of Duty games. And they'll be played on a variety of devices."
The response to this came from the question of what the future holds now that smartphone gaming has become so popular, what would PC franchises like Warcraft and Call of Duty fit into these situations.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare launches on Xbox One, PS4, and PC November 4th.
