The brand-new cosmetic items that will be coming with the upcoming KFC collaboration for Diablo 4 has been revealed, despite the collaboration not officially being announced yet. Once the promotion begins, players can expect to get some absolutely tasty transmog items for their weapons and other equipment.
Players first learned of the collaboration with the fried chicken franchise, thanks to a leak, which confirmed that Diablo 4 would once again be having another collaboration with KFC. If the leak is to be believed, players will have the chance to earn five brand new special in-game rewards when the collaboration period takes place. The collaboration is set to take place between 29 May 2023 to 2 July 2023, according to the leak.
Over on Reddit, one user who goes by the name, FlamePuppet, has shared images of what appears to be some of the special crossover items that will be available. If the post is accurate, then all the in-game rewards will all be weapon cosmetic skins that all share a recurring theme. Many of the names given to these cosmetics are rather humorous KFC themed puns. However, don't let their names fool you, as their appearances are far from humorous. The cosmetics share a similar aesthetic as the grittiness of Sanctuary.
Considering how impressive the game's transmog system is, players will easily be able to incorporate these punny weapons into their character's builds. The 5 cosmetics goes as follows, The Vessel of Eleven, an offhand totem for the Druid class, that references the 11 herbs and spices of the original KFC recipe. The Thrumming Axle, a staff that resembles a fried chicken leg. The Dread Pheasant Slayer, a bow named after the chicken's prettier cousin, the pheasant. The Hand of Gallus, a pole arm that gets its name from a genus of chicken. The Foul Reaper, a two-handed scythe that is a pun on fowls, get it… As in chicken. Nevermind.
Despite the fact that Blizzard has yet to actually make a formal announcement about the collaboration, players are already well aware of it. This leak is legit, unlike others, because this collaboration was leaked by the same person that leaked the first KFC collaboration for Diablo 4 previously. However, we still have to wait and see if this all proves to true, as confirmation will most likely come when the collaboration gets announced in the coming weeks.
