Nintendo Info On Zelda, Pokemon, Mario, Video And More [3DS]
News by Daavpuke on Sep 13, 2011
Time for some Nintendo news, unless our news gets jacked too now! The big N has released a bunch of news all at once, so let’s recap what they all had to say, the big lugs:
First off, come September 28, owners of handhelds both DS and 3DS will get the chance to download the new and improved The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition for free. This limited offer is said to be downloadable until February 20 2012, though it isn’t specified if it will be free until then. In any case, this enhanced version comes with all new locations and a singleplayer mode. This promotion is one of three parts in the Zelda 25 year Anniversary scheme, which also includes the long-awaited Skyward Sword and a special prepaid eShop card with Zelda imagery.
Big up to this DeviantArt for posting this great Four Swords fan pic.
Also, Super Pokémon Rumble has been announced to release in Europe on December 2, effectively becoming the first Nintendo 3DS Pokémon game. The game will switch regular critters for Toy Pokémon, which can fight against each other, but will also include boss fights. Making your way through levels, players will be able to catch a dazzling 600 Pokémon, amongst whom the newest released Black/White generation. In addition, the StreetPass function will add ways to challenge other players or attract Legendaries. It’s like Street Fighter IV, but with cutesy things.
Oversimplified Pokémon, no joke. They weren't simple and cute enough.
And at last, let’s round up some holiday season news: This November, Nintendo will release a software update that will finally let people record 3D video, but will also add new Plaza and StreetPass challenges for you socialites out there. Mario is also still a strong player, coming to 3DS on November 18 with Super Mario 3D Land. Mario Kart 7 will release alongside the new Pokemon game on December 2. And finally, 2012 will see releases of Mario Tennis 3DS, yours truly’s favorite: Animal Crossing 3DS, Luigi’s Mansion 3DS, Paper Mario 3DS and Kid Icarus: Uprising. The latter will also come with a video production which will be accessible for free through Nintendo video.
I love these Animal Crossing guys, screw you!
There, that’s more than enough brand names in one article. Wash it all down with some Starbucks, put on your Nikes and run to the nearest SubWay, because this news is done!
