Fortnite's Battle Royale mode is a massive hit with gamers with 40 million players who've tried the game to a peak count of 2 million concurrent players. Now a new map update has been added but not everyone is happy with the game's success. According to a recent statement on Reddit, Epic Games that Fortnite's success has made it difficult for Paragon to grow.
Paragon is getting a new update this week and will continue to gain updates in the future the language used in the recent Reddit post shows that resources are being diverted from Paragon to Fortnite.
“Progress has been slower lately for two reasons: first, the team’s time is split between immediate improvements and longer-term efforts, so there’s less visible progress. Second, a number of Paragon team members jumped onto Fortnite to help sustain the game as it has grown far larger than anything in Epic’s past.”
It seems that Paragon's resources are being shifted to Fortnite due to the game's sheer popularity. This doesn't mean that Paragon cannot gain notoriety if the game does begin to show growth it's possible for Epic to hire more staff to maintain support for both games.
Fortnite is now available in early access on Xbox One, PS4, and PC with a release date of 2018. Paragon is now available on PS4 and PC.
