Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Guide | Solo Verso Sniper Build

This build turns Verso into a burning-shot sniper. You’ll rely on free-aim shots to apply Burn, regain AP, and stack status effects for explosive follow-up attacks.

Weapon and Battle Rank

Use the highest-power rifle you can equip; Verso should start at Battle Rank S. Removing all other party members ensures you trigger “fighting alone” bonuses.

Luminer Selection

Equip these abilities:

Accelerating Last Stand grants Rush when alone and +50% free-aim damage;

Augmented First Strike gives +50% damage on your first hit and applies Powerful for three turns;

Burning synergy increases burn damage, applies three burn stacks, and grants a 20% chance to burn on free-aim; apply Burn when hitting marked enemies to reinforce the synergy;

Confident Fighter grants +30% damage but prevents healing;

Powerful is gained when alone and also grants one burn stack;

AP Generation offers a 20% chance to gain one AP on free-aim;

Full Strength starts you with maximum AP and +50% first-hit damage; Breaking a target doubles its burn amount;

Play First grants +25% damage but also +25% damage taken;

Immaculate boosts damage by 30% until you take a hit;

Critical Chance ensures 100% critical hits when alone;

Three-Turn Powerful adds +50% damage for three turns;

Marking grants a 20% chance to apply Mark;

Free-Aim Focus gives +200% damage on your first free-aim shot;

Status Growth adds +15% damage per status effect;

Turn Growth grants +5% damage per turn (stacking five times);

Shell grants a shield when alone; 2 AP on Marked enemies returns two AP on dealing damage to a marked target;

Solo Fighter adds +50% damage when alone. Roulette remains optional for random high-damage bursts.

Picto Selection

Use Second Chance for revival, Survivor for emergency durability, and Cheetah to reposition after Overload or burst attacks.

Combat Strategy

Begin with Accelerating Last Stand to gain Rush and boost your opening free-aim shot. Land a burn, mark your foe, then chain free-aim shots to apply status effects, restore AP, and trigger your high-damage abilities.

First-shot Free-Aim Focus can exceed 4 million damage on its own, and you’ll quickly cycle back into Powerful and Rush for a sustained burst. If you fall, Second Chance revives you to continue the onslaught.
