Rainbow Six Siege Operation: Ember Rise Revealed, Battle Pass Confirmed
Rainbow Six Siege getting a new operation and battle pass
News by Grayshadow on Aug 19, 2019
Rainbow Six Siege remains one of Ubisoft's most popular live service title, with a new operation confirmed. In addition, Ubisoft is adding battle passes to the game.
First off, Operation: Ember Rise will add 2 new operators. Goyo is a defender who can deploy Vulcan Shields for cover points. The shields can not only protect but it can trigger a firebomb when the incendiary core is shot or the shield is destroyed by anyone. The fire will linger for a small time.
Amaru can use a Garra Hook in the offense to reach high areas quicker than any other operator, making her more mobile than any other class. She can use the hook to travel vertically inside buildings as well. However, the hook cannot be used to move to a lower area or barricaded areas but can punch through wooden windows on the outside of the map.
The Canal map has been remade with an additional bridge added, fewer windows next to the objective sites, and the roof has been redesigned.
The battle pass, popularized by Fortnite, will function the same with 2 phases. During phase 1 called "Call Me Harry" will last 7 days and have 7 tiers. Those who complete the pass will earn the Harry Chibi Charm.
Phase 2 will launch during Year 4 of Season 4 this year. This will function the same.
Rainbow Six Siege is now available for PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
