Many characters in Dynasty Warriors: Origins present formidable challenges, but these ten stand out as the toughest. Each one demands different strategies, quick reflexes, and proper use of battle arts to overcome.
10. Liu Bei
Liu Bei is swift and can be difficult to track during battle. His small build, alongside his fast hands with the sword, can make it hard for anyone to react in time. In tournament battles and in duels, he becomes even more of a challenge because of his sheer speed and evasiveness.
9. Gan Ning
Gan Ning is also pretty past, making him challenging to deal with. He does multiple Musou attacks, which make it difficult for you to recover. He can be pretty relentless, and his aggressive nature does not give you a moment's rest.
8. Guan Yu
Guan Yu is a tank. He’s an absolute unit of powerhouse, particularly in the Assault on Xuchang battle. His attacks do a lot of damage, making him a high-risk enemy in long fights.
7. Taishi Ci
Taishi Ci is a relentless opponent. In the Shenting battle, you’re only given a short time frame to defeat him, adding a lot of pressure. He has an incredible Twin Pike technique, which can easily overwhelm many people who aren’t familiar with it.
6. Zhang Liao
Zhang Lia is a pretty challenging fight in the Battle of Heferi. He keeps you on your toes and constantly pressures opponents. His dueling abilities are a serious threat, and he’s great at delivering devasting combos.
5. Zhao Yun
Zhao Yun is really potent due to his relentless pace and power. He has this signature aerial attack, where he leaps and slams down with his spear, and it’s almost impossible to avoid, requiring a lot of skill to defeat.
4. Zhang Jiao
Zhang Jiao is one of the few characters in the game with a full-fledged boss battle, making him one of the toughest enemies in the game. He has a Thunderous Tempest ability that is nearly impossible to avoid without perfect timing, and his constant lightning attacks and invulnerability make his fight challenging.
3. Sun Shangxiang
Sun Shangxiang is a memorable opponent due to her master of the twin chakrams. Her move set is very unpredictable, and her speed makes her launch quick successive attacks. The delay in her thrown weapons makes them difficult to dodge. Defeating her requires you to time your attacks as her chakrams hit from the front and back.
2. Bailuan
Bailuan is one of the most tactical enemies you’ll face in Dynasty Warriors: Origins. He has ice-baed attacks that create a constant threat, and his fast movements make him difficult to hit. He has this unique ability to summon clones that make the fight extremely challenging.
1. Lu Bu
Lu Bu is probably the hardest character to face in Dynasty Warriors: Origins. He has an abundance of power and resilience that make him extremely difficult to deal with. He’s good at counter-attacking, chaining devastating combos, and destroying opponents with his Musou abilities, making him the hardest to beat in the game.
