Rockstar has always made it clear that Vice City draws inspiration from Miami. Now, with GTA 6, that link is going even further. Reports say Rockstar is using real Miami locations for a major marketing push, making the city feel like a real-life version of Vice City before the game even releases. A recent report says Rockstar has paid Miami at least $3 million, with more money possibly going to the nearby county.

The deal lets Rockstar use local spots, billboards, and beaches to promote GTA 6 in the city that inspired Vice City. It's a unique move, turning Miami itself into part of the game's marketing. Earlier reports mentioned talks between Rockstar and the Miami Beach City Commission about beachside promotions.

All of this suggests Rockstar is doing more than just using Miami as inspiration for GTA 6.

The city could play a big role in the game's real-world marketing. The timing is just as interesting. The campaign has been reported. The timing is also worth noting. The campaign is expected to start about a month before GTA 6 comes out. If that's true, Miami could be covered in GTA 6 ads long before the November 19 release, making it hard to tell where the real city ends and Vice City begins.

There. Several major musicians have also shared cryptic posts that have caught GTA fans' attention. Future recently posted an image on his label's Instagram featuring a GTA 6 vehicle with a custom "Vice Baby" Future recently shared a picture on his label's Instagram showing a GTA 6 car with a "Vice Baby" license plate.

The post might be a shoutout to the game, but the timing has fans wondering if there's more to it. Morgan Wallen also posted a mysterious GTA 6 image of an empty swimming pool. He didn't explain the post, so fans are left guessing if it's just promotion or a clue about something in the game. Details included a reference to Rockstar's RAGE engine.

The post also included the initials "JOH," which have been linked to Jack of Hearts, a club reportedly expected to appear in GTA 6.

None of this confirms exactly what Travis Scott is involved with, but the combination of references has led to speculation about a larger collaboration. That raises a bigger question: could these artists actually show up in GTA 6, not just on the soundtrack or radio stations? NPCs or provide voices for characters.

Another possibility is that they could appear in GTA Online through virtual concerts or other interactive events. Other live-service games have already used major artists in this way, turning celebrity collaborations into playable experiences rather than simple promotional appearances.

For now, these ideas are just speculation. The Miami marketing deal and the musicians' posts are interesting clues, but Rockstar hasn't said how far these collaborations will go. Still, the overall campaign is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.

Even so, it's getting harder to ignore. Rockstar seems to be linking GTA 6's Vice City with real Miami in more ways than just copying the city. If the promotions and artist partnerships happen, the line between the real world and GTA 6 could feel as blurry as the game's own Miami.
