News by Fragnarok on May 27, 2020
Multiple reports are swirling around Twitter that Square Enix is creating a Kingdom Hearts series pilot that will air on Disney+.
Emre Kaya of The Cinema Spot first broke silence about the project. Disney themselves wanted to make a Kingdom Hearts series back in 2015, but ultimately canceled it. Now, Square is making a pilot based on the RPG series using Unreal engine.
Skyler Shuler of DisInsider further claimed that Bill Farmer and Tony Anselmo, voice actors for Goofy and Donald, are already onboard. No further information has leaked about additional cast or crew.
Neither Disney nor Square Enix have confirmed or denied the existence of this show. At present, it is unknown if Kingdom Hearts creators Tetsuya Nomura and Shinji Hashimoto are involved with the pilot.
