SEGA Forever, The Announcement of A Classic Revival on Mobile

SEGA announced a new way to play their games for free on Android and iOS devices, we uncover the news about it!

SEGA has been known for their work on the industry, especially back when they were competing against Nintendo in the 16 Bit era, the Genesis was a very strong competitor with games and Intellectual Properties that have managed to become unforgettable staples in the industry. And they know this, which is why they have recently made an announcement about their newest development. SEGA Forever.

SEGA Forever will begin on Thursday June 23, and its a way to play all your favorite SEGA classics like Sonic The Hedgehog, Altered Beast and others. With a library that will continue expanding across the games, the best part about it is that the games will be completely free! However, they will be playing ads in the games and Online connection is necessary. But, you can remove the ads by paying for the games themselves and keeping them in your ever expanding library.

There will be five 16 bit titles available to start with. These Mega Drive/Genesis titles include the original 1991 Sonic the Hedgehog, role-playing adventure Phantasy Star II, Launch title Altered Beast and two console titles Comix Zone and Kid Chameleon. They will be available to download for free on the Google Play Store for Android devices and on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. The list will be increased with additional releases every month following the launch.

Mike Evans, CMO of Sega’s mobile division in the west, said: “Above all else Sega Forever is a celebration of nostalgia. It’s about allowing fans to reconnect with past experiences and share them with family and friends in an accessible and convenient way.
