Sifu Movie In The Works With John Wick Creator
A Sifu movie is in the works, and Derek Kolstad, the man who wrote the John Wick films, will be attached as the screenwriter.

Sifu, the popular beat-em-up with a mechanic that sees the main character progressively age every time they die, has found its way to the silver screen and will be adapted by the relatively newly formed media company, Story Kitchen, which includes Derek Kolstad as one of its founders. Kolstad is the creator of the John Wick franchise.
This news was exclusively revealed by Deadline, and it details the specific producers attached to the new film, which includes Mike Goldberg, Derek Kolstad, Dan Jevons, Timothy I. Stevenson, and Jeff Ludwig. However, Derek Kolstad will be the one adapting the script, and with his experience writing the John Wick movies, he should be more than capable of handling the story of Sifu.
This new movie will be a live-action adaptation of Sloclap’s Sifu, a game that has been nominated for several awards at upcoming The Game Awards and it sold over 1 million copies in its first month. At NoobFeed, we gave Sifu a score of 99/100 and called it “a great game, an excellent martial arts game, and something any type of player could enjoy. It takes the beat ‘em-up genre to an unmatchable level.”
There is no additional information at present, and we will have to wait to see how the cast fills up over the coming months and years, but the movie is, at least, in good action movie hands, because if anyone can write the script for something like Sifu, it will be Derek Kolstad.
