Dynasty Warriors: Origins is one of the bold steps taken in this already beloved series. It clearly deviates from norms and ideas that have emerged and entertained for several decades in the hack-and-slash genre. This guide will cover the first stage of Chapter 2: the Suppression of You.

The Suppression of You is likely the toughest of the three stages due to its time-sensitive objective. Your goal is to eliminate Shang Chun before the barbarian reinforcements led by Chiu Chu arrive. You'll have around 3–4 minutes to achieve this.

For your setup, stick with weapons and items that allow you to deal damage quickly. Gems, accessories, or weapons that you're comfortable with will work fine. On your first attempt, you might be tempted to stop at a base to assist your team, but that could cost you precious time. Instead, head straight for Shang Chun, located on the left side of the map.

During the fight, be aware that commanders activate their True Ultimate Musou at least once. Save your Musou Attacks and Bravery Buffs for these moments to minimize time wasted breaking their fortitude gauge. Once Shang Chun is defeated, the time pressure ends, and you can play the rest of the stage at your own pace. Just keep an eye on your commander to ensure they're safe from enemy attacks.

The three suppression battles are straightforward and require minimal preparation. Focus on quick damage output, keeping allies safe, and adapting your playstyle with weapons and battle arts you enjoy. Chapter 2 is a relatively easy section, so take your time mastering these strategies.
