Undoubtedly, AI is in a state where it can benefit people and actively harm their reputations. Artificial intelligence, or AI as we know it, has been in our lives for some time, but the implementation of AI tools has been on the rise for the past couple of years. AI has also been involved in writing or answering questions, from visual enhancements to creating visuals. Including AI in our lives sounds very good, as we planned AI to be a helpful assistant. However, some people take AI for granted, load their entire workload onto AI, and try to work it out.

In a recent announcement, Square Enix stated they will start using AI aggressively and implement its assistance whenever possible. People have already been mad about how Square Enix took care of their subsidiary studios, and a warm New Year letter from the company's owner didn't help either. It seems like one of the studios that ruled the RPG genre is now desperate to stay upright despite the terrible decision they have been making.

It does not matter how consumers react to Square Enix's implementation of AI in their projects, though. According to CEO Takashi Kiryu, the help of AI has been immense to humankind. With every growing advancement, it could also be a great help to Square Enix, such as letting AI programs like ChatGPT write about the story of an upcoming role-playing game or using visual enhancers to sharpen the images. They further stated that 2024 will be the year Square Enix will employ AI to improve the quality of games currently in the market, but most people doubt it will be the case.

Recently, another old studio from the 90s came up with a revival of the cult series Myst with a new IP. It was backed by funding from Kickstarter, but once backers found out the images and paragraphs were being created by an AI, it created a backlash as it did not genuinely feel like it was the developer's work. In terms of Square Enix, we can easily say that their implementation of AI will surely end up being a reality as they forced their way to blockchain last year but ended up ditching it due to backlash from Square Enix fans; we doubt something else is going to happen with the instance of AI being heavily used.
