The creator of Resident Evil, Shinji Mikami, has revealed that The Evil Within’s first expansion pack will released early 2015. Called “The Assignment” players will take control of Sebastian Castellanos's partner Juli Kidman but what her journey will consist of is still unknown.
“I would say she’s much livelier than Sebastian was in the main game” Director John Johns stated. “Her story is a bit more personal than his as well, so there’s a bit of banter and commentary as you play.” Perhaps details regarding her role within the game's plot will reveal itself during this DLC.
The second episode called “The Consequence”, and a third unnamed episode, haven’t been given a release date. All three expansion can be pre-ordered through The Evil Within Season Pass for $20, individual prices for each episode has not been confirmed by Bethesda yet.
The Evil Within released on October 14, 2014 and received generally positive reviews from critics and consumers. The game was praised for its atmospheric content, tense horror settings and unnerving experience. It is currently available on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC.
