Warhorse Studios released Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Patch 1.2 on March 13, 2025. This version also has a new barbershop and official compatibility with Steam Workshop mods. While Patch 1.2 included over one thousand fixes and enhancements, it nevertheless resulted in game-breaking bugs and significant performance concerns, prompting the developers to make some urgent adjustments.

In an effort to resolve some of the most significant bugs that were found in Patch 1.2, Warhorse Studios has released Hotfix 1.2.2 for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, which was released earlier today. This update is significant because it fixes many game-breaking defects; nevertheless, it does not resolve all of the remaining faults. Despite this, it is nonetheless crucial.

The patch has a relatively small download size, approximately 500 megabytes on Steam and 2 gigabytes on consoles. The "Owned Bed" issue, which previously rendered rented and free rooms unusable, labeled players as trespassers, or totally locked them out of the game, is one of the most significant developments that has been implemented. The testing has now demonstrated that all of the impacted rooms, including those with doors that are closed, are functioning normally.

Another significant problem associated with the "Into the Underworld" quest has been rectified to a large extent. Back in the day, the non-player character Goatskin would not show up if the quest had already started before Patch 1.2 was released. When this update is applied, he reappears in the world once more, and the German non-player character that is taking part in the quest follows the appropriate path.

However, Goatskin does not attempt to rob him as originally envisaged; hence, the quest does not proceed in the manner that was intended. Concerns have also been expressed regarding further troubles with the artificial intelligence of non-player characters (NPCs) since certain NPCs appear to be completely unresponsive during combat, similar to the way Goatskin refuses to behave.

An additional problem that was highly frustrating was that gamers accidentally deleted their save data. Due to Patch 1.2's upgrade to the appearance of the pause menu, the "New Game" button replaced the "Load Game" button. As a result, a significant number of gamers accidentally deleted their entire playing session with this change. The "New Game" option has been completely removed from the pause menu as a result of this update; however, Warhorse has stated that a more permanent solution would be provided in a future version of the game.

A number of issues with the graphics on the PlayStation 5 have been resolved, including the appearance of visual artifacts in forests while the game is played in Performance Mode. However, this repair does not solve other significant visual flaws, such as the iconic rain problem, which causes precipitation to appear as static white lines, or the female NPC texture issue, which produces a visible seam on their breast when two skin textures fail to align.

Both of these issues are examples of visual flaws that are not addressed by this repair. A fix was made to the bug that caused the barber menu to break when it was closed with a mouse on the PC. It is now the responsibility of the players to close it using the keyboard.

Despite these developments, certain problems with the game's quality of life have still not been addressed. When players arrive at their destination due to fast travel, they are still required to dismount their horses rather than keep them mounted, as was the case prior to Patch 1.2. The game still has a number of minor but unpleasant graphic faults that have not been rectified, and several of the objectives continue to function erroneously.

According to Warhorse Studios, the next substantial update is scheduled to be released in the middle of April. Among the several fixes and improvements that will be included in this upcoming version is the addition of Hardcore Mode. Until then, despite the fact that Hotfix 1.2.2 makes Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 more stable, there are still a number of bugs that need additional work to be done.
