Kingdom Come: Deliverance II follows in the footsteps of the first game, continuing the saga of Henry of Skalitz as he resumes his crusade of vengeance and adventure. The Dragon’s Lair Quest requires you to find hidden dragon bones in the wilderness; this guide explains how.
The quest starts in Bylany, in the Kuttenberg region. To start the quest, you’ll need to speak to Monk Slava, who will ask you to deliver a letter to an abbot near Kuttenberg. You’ll need to deliver the letter to the Abbot during the daytime to progress.
Deliver The Message
Abbot is located near Kuttenberg. Speak to him and listen to his dialogue. The abbot and another character in blue will discuss the bones and hint at their significance.
Once you are done delivering the letter, return to Monk Slava in Bylany. He’ll give you information about a woodcutter named Vashek, who found the bones. But before you speak to the woodcutter, a group will try to confront and intimidate you and talk you out of pursuing the bones.
Locating The Bones
Look for Vashek near Bylany and speak to him to learn about the location of the bones. He’ll give you detailed but confusing directions to where you can find them, which involves following a stream and identifying different landmarks.
To locate the bones, you’ll want to start southwest of Bylany and head toward Repin until you reach a stream; cross the stream using the bridge. Once you’ve crossed, follow the stream upstream to the southwest and continue until you reach an interactable rock.
Once you’re at the rock, head northwest through a path with chopped-down trees and look for a tree stump covered in mushrooms.
Go northwest through the trees until you reach a large tree with a ladder. From there, follow the boulders to the northwest and then turn west until you find the bones.
When you are at the location, search for the bones in the mud and use a spade to dig them up; there are three in total.
After you get your hands on the bones, a group will confront you and try to steal them. Depending on the choices you make, you can give the bones to Monk Slava to keep them. If you decide to give them away, you can either give him a portion by lying to him or if you decide to give all of them away, you can steal them back.
