Before moving from the Ogouchi Buffer Zone into the Ancient Civilization Zone in Beast of Reincarnation, several optional pickups are worth collecting. These include ammunition manuals, two useful blades, better early armor, Fertilized Eggs, and merchant manuals that expand Emma and Koo’s combat options.
Get Manual: Fire Arrows and Manual: Acid Bolts
Travel to the southwestern part of the region and enter the enemy camp through the tunnel. Clear the enemies, enter the house, and collect Manual: Fire Arrows from the table. Owning the manual causes Fire Arrows to replenish when you rest instead of functioning only as one-time ammunition pickups.

From there, travel north toward the Quarry area. Climb to the upper section, take the right-hand route, and defeat the Elite Golem guarding the small building. Manual: Acid Bolts is on the table inside.
Collect Mechblade (Light) and Cirrus Sword
The Mechblade (Light) is at the top of the Ruined Tower. Climb the structure and defeat the Elite Golem waiting near the top. Enter the sheltered area behind it and collect the blade from the right-hand side.

Cirrus Sword is technically optional even though the main story strongly directs you toward it. Return to the bunker near the relevant campsite, follow the cave to its end, and collect Cirrus Sword from the ground beside the campsite and NPC.
Pick Up Chainmail
Return to the campsite near Cirrus Sword. The strongbox beside the campfire contains Chainmail. It provides better defense and useful Flame Resistance than the starting armor, although it has one fewer Spirit Stone slot.
Find Both Fertilized Eggs
The first Fertilized Egg is in an underground cave near the region’s first campsite. Drop into the trenches, descend into the cave, and collect the valuable item from the nest.
The second Fertilized Egg is in the eastern cave visited during Chapter 1. Story progression is required because the large Golem inside provides the key used to open the locked door at the far end. The egg is on the right after passing through that door.
Visit the Wandering Merchant
Near the end of Chapter 1, after progressing through the colored-key objectives, reach the Wandering Merchant in the northern part of the region. Purchase Manual: Acid Arrows and Manual: Fire Bolts. The source also recommends obtaining Koo’s Torch manual if it is available so Koo can use Torch to inflict Burn.
With the two early ammunition manuals, Mechblade (Light), Cirrus Sword, Chainmail, both Fertilized Eggs, and the merchant manuals collected, you are well prepared to enter the Ancient Civilization Zone.

FAQ
Q. Why are ammunition manuals better than finding loose arrows or bolts?
A. A manual makes that ammunition type replenish when you rest, while loose ammunition is consumed normally.
Q. Can you get the second Fertilized Egg immediately?
A. No. You must progress Chapter 1 far enough to defeat the large Golem in the eastern cave and obtain the key for the locked door.
Q. Is Mechblade (Light) required for the story?
A. No. It is an optional blade found at the top of the Ruined Tower and can be collected while exploring the Ogouchi Buffer Zone.
