Black Myth: Wukong | How to Craft Clouded-Patterned Stone Staff and Galeguard Armor Set

How to Craft Clouded-Patterned Stone Staff and Galeguard Armor Set in Black Myth: Wukong.

Game Guide by Nine_toes on  Aug 23, 2024

In this Black Myth: Wukong guide, you’ll learn how to obtain an amazing secret weapon called the Cloud Pattern Stone Staff. This weapon is tied behind a secret mini-quest that requires you to collect six Buddha Eyes and use them in a specific place to summon a secret boss. Upon defeating the secret boss, you’ll unlock and can then craft this weapon. So, to start, you need to find six Buddha Eyes and then use the eyes to spawn a secret boss. This guide explains everything you need to know.

Buddha's Eyes #1 Location

Head to the Sandgate Village, Valley of Despair Shrine, and from this point, go in the direction opposite the shrine and cross a bridge. Then, take a left, go through an open archway guarded by an enemy, and keep moving forward. You should see the head of Buddha's statue sticking out of the ground. You can take its eyes by interacting with it. You will also find a shrine—this is the Fright Cliff, Squall Hideout region.

Next, grab two more sets of eyes in the Fright Cliff, Squall Hideout region. Take a left and go around the corner into a large cave. Stay close to the rock wall to your left; you should come across another Buddha's head. You’ll have to run past some enemies as well.

The third Buddha head is up on a platform that can be accessed by going across a rock bridge opposite to this head and taking the stairs to the left of it.

Buddha's Eyes #4 Location

Afterward, head back to the Squall Hideout Shrine. From there, take a left and keep moving forward, then take another left to an area lit up by a torch to get the fourth set of eyes. This one is also guarded, so you’ll need to defeat the enemies before you can collect the eyes.

Buddha's Eyes #5 Location

Now, facing away from the Buddha statue you just collected, take a left until you reach a torch, then take another left towards the outside of the cave. Keep following the trail of torches to your left, and you’ll find the next set of eyes.

Buddha's Eyes #6 Location

For the final set of eyes, teleport back to the Rockrest Flat Shrine first. Then, follow the trail of torches in the direction the shrine faces to find the final Buddha head. This time, the torches should lead you generally rightwards. Stick to the right side of the cave walls, and you should be able to see the final set of eyes.

Stone Vanguard Boss Fight

With all six Buddha Eyes in hand, it’s time to fight the Stone Vanguard boss. Head back to the Rockrest Flat shrine, and from there, take a left and keep moving forward to find the Stone Vanguard.

Although the Stone Vanguard is a little tanky, it’s pretty easy to defeat. Try to get behind him as much as possible—a lot of his moves are slow attacks, which you can easily dodge to get behind him and land combos. After defeating the boss, trigger the nearby Shrine of the Rock Clash Platform.

Galeguard Armor Set

For defeating the Stone Vanguard boss, you can now craft a new armor set called the Galeguard Armor, which looks pretty cool. This is another benefit of completing this questline.

Where to Use Buddha's Eyes (Secret Boss Location – Shigandang)

From this Shrine, head to the location where you can deliver the Buddha Eyes and spawn the boss, Shigandang. You’ll see a large open area that looks like a boss fight area (your gamer intuition should pick up on it). Interact with a suspicious-looking pile of rocks that stand out to start the fight. Though his name is tough to pronounce, the fight itself is pretty easy. He’s big, slow, and tanky, but you can go to any Shrine upon defeating him and craft the amazing Cloud Pattern Stone Staff.
