Black Myth: Wukong | How to Unlock the Chu-Bai Spear
How to Unlock the Chu-Bai Spear in Black Myth: Wukong

A questline in Black Myth: Wukong allows you to unlock a weapon called the Chu-Bai Spear, and I absolutely love this weapon. It's extremely powerful and comes with a unique move set specific to it. This integrates spear attacks into your light combo attacks, which consist of a series of pokes, jumps, and more.
These attacks are very fast and great for stacking much damage. You also gain bonus damage when you are in the thrust stance while attacking with it, which is why this weapon is best paired with a build that also uses the thrust stance.
It completely destroys single-target enemies and is especially effective against bosses. This spear carried me through the entire game. You can combine offense and defense mechanics with it, as the way it works involves constantly engaging in and out of combat, dodging, and returning to attack. I absolutely love it, and it’s super strong.
To unlock this spear, you’ll need to reach Chapter 3 until you get to the Lower Pagoda. On your first visit here, you’ll notice several sealed prison cells with a purple mark on them. The first cell you see sealed holds the NPC needed to start this quest line and obtain the weapon.
To break these seals, you just need to progress up the level until you reach the Upper Pagoda Seeker Shrine. Once you're there, pay attention to the area you just came from, as there is a small entryway to the left side that will bring you to a secret boss room below.
Without spoiling the fight, just defeat the boss to break the purple seals for the entire dungeon. This will also allow you to unlock other rooms filled with treasures, enemies, and even transformations, so it's worth exploring everything.
Once you’re done, head back to the start of the Lower Pagoda, free the Third Prince, and start the quest by talking to him. From here, he’ll tell you about the force at the top of the Manny Will responsible for the Shadow Well mechanic that triggers every few minutes.
Progress through this level and stage until you reach that boss. Defeat the boss, and once you're done, you can head back and talk to the NPC for the last time. This time, he’ll give you the item needed to craft the Chu-Bai Spear. All the other materials should also be easily accessible by now, so you should be able to craft it easily.
