Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Guide | How To Get Verso's Best Weapon (Cultam)

If you want to find strong pictos and weapons in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, you're in luck. There are many amazing things for sale at Grandis, but you must finish a particular quest first. You must collect certain things in this quest to see his whole collection. 

Among these treasures are game-changing items, such as gear that allows you to survive a fatal strike with one HP. You can even gain two revives if you have another revive-related item—essentially granting an extra life for your characters.

Verso, in particular, benefits greatly from these rewards. One of the available weapons ensures that you don't lose any rank unless you heal, granting you an extra rank when you counter. This makes it an exceptional tool once you get good at parrying. 

Though the items are expensive, you should have accumulated enough currency to afford them by the time you reach this point in the game.

Locating the Merchant Grandis

To find Grandis, head to Monokco Station. You'll gain access to this area once you reach Act Three and unlock the ability to fly. Enter from the lower section of the station, and you'll find the merchant nearby. Besides the weapons and items, some attractive outfits are available on the left side of the area.

When you first talk to him, you'll notice that many of Grandis's powerful things are locked behind a quest. For the quest, you need to get endless ice, making you much more likely to survive. He will tell you to look for it deep in Glacial Mountain. 

Exploring Glacial Mountain

To reach the eternal ice, begin your journey through Glacial Mountain. The route is relatively straightforward—keep progressing. Be prepared with fire and ice elemental attacks, as the enemies in this area change elements. 

For example, an enemy may shift from ice to fire, so you must counter accordingly. Some larger enemies can even revive smaller ones, so remain alert.

While exploring, check every nook and cranny for additional discoveries, though the main path will eventually lead you where you need to go. Along the way, you'll encounter a train structure you can climb. There's another merchant located partway up the climb—don't miss the chance to visit them for proper gear.

Obtaining Eternal Ice

Keep pushing upward through the area, ignoring side paths, as the main route is your destination. Eventually, you'll face a powerful enemy vulnerable to extreme fire damage. Defeating this enemy will yield a visually impressive ice weapon and an eternal ice item.

Unlocking the Merchant's Full Inventory

Once you have the eternal ice, you don't need to backtrack. Exit the portal and return to Grandis the same way you came. After handing over the eternal ice, you'll unlock all previously inaccessible items in his inventory.
