Here’s a guide to all the Skull Locations in Mission Eight: Two Betrayals of Halo: Campaign Evolved.

The mission Two Betrayals in Halo: Campaign Evolved is long, punishing, and full of intense firefights. If you are tracking down all the collectibles, this level features three Skulls: Tough Luck, Black Eye, and Mythic. Here is how to locate every single one.

Tough Luck Skull Location

You can grab the Tough Luck Skull right at the start of the mission outside the control room structure.

Once you exit the control room into the snow, use a Banshee (or the Acrophobia Skull if you have it enabled) to fly upward.

Head straight up the exterior of the Ziggurat until you reach a high ledge near the top. Land on the structure, and you will find the Tough Luck Skull sitting right at the edge of the platform in Halo: Campaign Evolved.

Black Eye Skull Location

The Black Eye Skull is located further into the mission when you drop into the second canyon area.

As soon as you enter the second canyon, look toward the far side of the central structure where heavy growths of Flood biomass cover the terrain.

Walk over to the biomass and follow the winding path carved through it. Stick to the path until it leads into a dark corner, where the Black Eye Skull is waiting in Halo: Campaign Evolved.

Mythic Skull Location

The Mythic Skull requires completing a multi-step battle challenge near the second phase pulse generator.

Start by flying to the top of the tower positioned next to the second generator. Interact with the control panel at the top to unlock a sealed door on the platform across the valley.

Fly across and step inside to face a gauntlet of Flood and Special Operations Covenant enemies:

First Room: Clear out every Fuel Rod-wielding Grunt inside. Once they are all dead, a second control panel will light up. Activate it to open the hallway door.

Hallway: Fight through a narrow corridor packed with Rocket Launcher Flood forms.

Second Room: Eliminate the remaining heavy Flood waves, including multiple Carrier and Tank forms.

Once every single enemy is cleared out, the Mythic Skull will appear sitting right in the center of the deactivated phase pulse generator in Halo: Campaign Evolved.

Q. Do I need a vehicle to get the Tough Luck Skull?

A. Yes, you need a Banshee or an aerial modifier like Acrophobia because the platform is located high up on the exterior structure and cannot be reached on foot.

Q. What happens if the second control panel does not activate for the Mythic Skull?

A. If the panel does not turn on, it means a Grunt or Flood combatant is still alive somewhere in that first room. Check all the corners and defeat every remaining enemy to trigger the door switch.
