Crests are a crucial element of Hollow Knight: Silksong; they affect how you attack and the rest of your abilities. The Crest of Architect is one of those crests that has already made its mark in Silksong.
In this guide, I will help you find the Architect crest and explain its details to you.

What you will need for the Crest of Architect
To get the Crest of Architect, you will first need the abilities cling grip, the double jump, the clawline, and the dash. These are needed to traverse the area where we will find the crest.
This crest can be found pretty late in the game, so have the nail upgrades and collect as many tools as possible, as you will need 25 tools to access the key required to access the crest.
The nail upgrades will help you in traversing, as there are a few pretty beefy enemies.
Another massive prerequisite is that you have to beat the Last Judge, who is the final boss of Act 1. This is a pretty tough fight, but it is required for advancing the game and unlocking all the rewards.

Where can you find the Crest of Architect
The Crest of Architect can be found in the area Underworks. This area is full of caverns of metal and cogs, all of which can damage you, so your reflexes need to be sharp for traversing this area. One piece of advice I can give you is that you should take your time maneuvering in this area.
You will have to make your way to the top of the vertical column you find yourself at right after beating the Last Judge; you then have to traverse to the bench right before the crossroads between Whiteward and Underworks on the right side.
Near this bench, you have to make your way to a platform above and onto another on the right, where you can hear noises of an NPC.

This NPC is the 12th Architect, from whom you can buy many tools, but for this guide, you will need to buy the item Architect's Keys. It costs 110 rosaries, and you also need to have 25 tools in order to buy this item.
After having bought the key, you have to make your way to the right of the space of the Architect, make your way up through the passage in the room you entered, then walk across to the left, where you will find a room where you can enter a key.
This is the Chapel of the Architect. Here you can find a large robot broken down; here you can bind the Crest of the Architect.

Details on the Crest of Architect
This crest allows you to store the greatest number of tools, allowing you to create a diverse number of combinations. But as a downside, this crest does not allow the user to have any Silk Skills.
Having a Vesticrest further increases the capacity of the player to hold more tools at once, allowing you to hold an extra blue tool and a yellow tool.
This crest, in other words, is good for players who want to try a bullet hell type build, which can allow them to get chip damage off onto the enemies and also allow the player to have some fun with the tools they choose to combine.

The crest specifically allows you to carry three red tools at a time, two blue tools, and two yellow tools. So you can feel reasonably comfortable throwing on any tool you want.
I personally like having the tacks, the thorn, and the Voltwyrm; sometimes, for range, I will replace the thorn tool with Silkshot, which just replaces a Silk Skill.
Replacing any of the other red tools with Flintslate will increase the amount of damage done by the nail, which stacks with the nail's damage and the damage done by a charged attack.
For the blue tools, I like to have the spool extender, which allows you to get extra silk slots, letting you use the bind much quicker rather than having to fill the silk bar entirely.
I like to keep the PollIp pouch, as it increases the damage done by the other tools by adding a poison effect, and finally, I use either the injector tool, allowing me to heal faster by a few seconds, or the long claw tool, which increases the range of the nail based on the area I am in or the boss I am fighting.
As for the yellow tool, I keep the dice and any other random tool, but preferably the warding bell.

Having an upgraded pouch and crafting kit also increases the amount of damage dealt by the tools, increasing the DPS of this crest even further.
This crest also changes the normal attack of the user to do a spiralling drill attack, which is the same for the charged attack and the down slash attack, which can also be charged.
The running attack and the down slash attack can also be charged, which just scales the damage even more.
For this crest, the light attack does 23 and has a DPS of 50; it does 22 damage on the down slash attack. It does 91 damage for the basic charge attack if all 7 attacks hit the target. Adding the Flint slate increases the damage of the charged attack even further, doing a total of 162 damage.
Another thing about this crest is that when you bind it, it causes the tools to replenish without you needing to sit on a bench, as long as you have enough shell fragments. This further plays into the playstyle of using only tools.
This crest allows for many interesting interactions with a few tools, such as the Plasmium Phial. It also opens up more interactions with the Architect NPC.
Overall, this crest is one of the best crests in the game, acclaimed by many players. Due to its unique ability and increased DPS, this allows the player to try out an interesting playstyle, increasing the depth of Silksong.
