Mina the Hollower Guide | All Weapon Upgrade Locations

Weapons in Mina the Hollower improve when you obtain another copy of the same weapon. There are five main weapons: Nightstar, Whisper and Vesper, Blaststrike Maul, Battery Buster, and Guardian Casket. Each weapon has two upgrades, and most of them come from either Legovich’s Arms, Panino, or hidden red chests across Tenebrous Isle.

If you skipped a starter weapon, you can still get it later. Legovich sells missed starter weapons in Ossex, so no starting choice locks you out of a full weapon collection.

Shop Weapon Upgrades

Legovich’s Arms is in Ossex City Center, inside the red building. This shop sells the weapons you did not pick at the start, along with Battery Buster and Guardian Casket. It also sells several first upgrades, including Boom Charge for Blaststrike Maul, Dread Mace for Nightstar, and Lunging Cut for Whisper and Vesper.

Some later upgrades are sold by Panino in Ossex Station Underside. Panino can sell Burst Shot for Battery Buster and Grave Counter for Guardian Casket. Keep extra Bones ready, because these late purchases are more expensive than early shop upgrades.

Hidden Chest Upgrades

Several upgrades are hidden in red chests. In Queensbury Crypt, enter the manor, go upstairs on the left, break the urn, and attack the left wall to uncover the secret path. In Nox’s Bayou, reach the Swamp Shack near Big Lagoon and use a Kear on the locked chest inside. In Bone Beach, go to Worm’s Back from the Mirror point, then bounce across the purple platforms toward the chest.

Coltrane Peak has another upgrade in the Rail Yard. Dig under the rails from the lower-right area, then work through the burrow and hazards until you reach the chest. Septemburg’s Crow Town upgrade is inside the burning house in the southwest village area. Enter after the crow attack and climb to the chest.

Late-Game Upgrade Spots

Astral Orrery: Stellarium contains a locked chest after one of the colored gate sections. Use a Kear on the right-side lock to reach it. Loner’s Landing: Belowdecks holds two important upgrades, including the Throwing Dagger upgrade and Blaststrike Maul’s Spin Rush. Bring two Kears before going there.

Radiant Manor: Courtyard requires enough Vials to open the path from Station Underside. Use Drill Driver movement to reach the rope, deposit the required Vials, refill when needed, and burrow through the passage toward the Courtyard chest.
