This guide will show you how to unlock farm EXP as quickly as possible in Persona 3 Reload.

Persona 3 Reload has a lot of ways you can earn EXP, but the easiest way to follow this is by defeating the Reaper. The Reaper is a highly skilled enemy found in Tartarus, a location that's available as soon as you start the game.

Change Your Settings Before Farming EXP

As the Reaper is highly skilled, it would be difficult for you to defeat it, so what you should do is. First, go to Config and change your game mode to Peaceful. Peaceful is the easiest difficulty in the game; you deal a lot of damage while taking nearly none. However, the key here is endless revives.

The reason limitless revives are important is that the Reaper may deliver massive damage—perhaps not a one-shot, but enough to be harmful. This way, you don't have to worry about dying and may simply continue fighting till you win.

Also, make sure you have the Persona you intend to level up equipped. At the end of the combat, only the Persona that is presently equipped receives EXP. The game does not directly state this, but that is how it works.

Use Growth skills to level up several Personas. For example, Yatagarasu has a Growth skill that yields 25% EXP even when not in battle. If you wish to grind numerous Personas, fuse one with Growth, then replace it with a skill card or fuse another.

It is more difficult to achieve this early in the game because your Social Links are not completely levelled, but after they are, it becomes easier.

Challenge The Reaper

When your game is set to Peaceful, travel to any floor. The Reaper's level is predetermined; thus, it doesn't matter much, though Floor 144 may not be optimal.

When you get on the floor, wait for the Reaper to come. This normally takes 1–2 minutes. Stay in one position, and Fuuka will warn you: "It's the Reaper!"

Engage in the Battle with Reaper

As soon as Fuuka announces the Reaper, you must confront it in battle. You'll know it's approaching when you notice the red warning effect.

Surprisingly, you get to make the first move in battle. Typically, the Reaper attacks first when it arrives. The Reaper has no resistance or vulnerabilities, making it a pretty straightforward fight. I'm not sure if it becomes stronger at higher levels, but this strategy works anyway.

Beating The Reaper

When you defeat the Reaper, you gain Shuffle Time and can select EXP bonuses as they come. This approach is entirely broken, resulting in 638,000 EXP in one fight.

In addition, you get the Bloody Button, which is quite expensive. If you don't have a lot of time to grind, this is the ideal method.

Useful Ways on How to Beat The Reaper

  • Knockdowns work - You can apply critical rate buffs to improve your chances of knocking it down during All-Out Attacks.
  • Instant-kill moves are ineffective against the Reaper, as demonstrated by Hama, Mudo, and their upgraded counterparts.
  • Status effects work; some, such as Charm, Shock, and Freeze, are successful. Others, such as Dizzy and Confuse, may not function consistently.
  • If the Reaper uses Concentrate, you're dead - therefore, don't waste stuff. Simply accept death and recover.
  • You have infinite revives on Peaceful. I revived at least seven or eight times during my fight, but it doesn't matter because you'll finally win.
  • If a party member dies, they do not receive EXP. The XP is divided among the three surviving members, so make sure no one is left dead after the conflict ends.
