If you want to alter your Trampler's performance or just want to get a different reactor look, you'll have to do some research in the Tech Tree of SAND: Raiders of Sophie for new Motor Reactors. It occurs in the main lobby and requires some progression to get to the better options.

The Location of Reactor Upgrades

Open the Tech Tree and go to Godlowski's branch. Most of the Motor Reactor upgrades are here, and there are some variants in each tier, each with different performance. One of the first ones you can obtain is the tier one Motor Reactor, which costs 1,000 Crowns. It is not a direct substitute for the default reactor, but the design might be more appropriate for certain trampler layouts.

Progressing Further

More advanced Motor Reactors are unlocked as you progress through the Tech Tree. The nodes in the branch need to be unlocked before the nodes in the next tier can be unlocked, and each node needs crowns and crafting materials to research. The higher the tier, the more expensive it will be, but the more powerful and efficient parts you will be able to construct with.

Using Your New Reactor

Once you have unlocked a new Motor Reactor, you can edit your trampler design in the blueprints menu. The reactor will be added to the parts list and will be available for you to add to your build. The choice of a reactor is not only a matter of appearance. The different reactors alter your trampler's stats (which you can see on the right side of the build screen) and not just how it looks.
