In SAND: Raiders of Sophie, Weird Corals were a resource that used to unlock upgrades, equipment, and Trampler improvements. Unlike Coral Chunks, they do not fall from crates or containers. They can be obtained from enemies, so it requires more effort than regular looting.

Where to Find the Enemies

Go to the places on the map where you can see pink coral formations. These coral covered areas are where the infected enemies spawn. The best places to go are the named islands, as they have more of these enemies and more coral covered ground to work with. These are usually shipwrecks, towns on islands, and other significant landmarks throughout the map.

Farming Weird Corals

After entering an infected area, search for the Infected Enemies and pick up their loot. Weird Corals are not guaranteed drops, so you will have to kill several enemies to get a decent amount of Weird Corals. Expect to be there for a while, it takes time.

What to Watch Out For

These places are noticed. Other players can appear and fight for the same enemies, and you will already have enemies in the area to fight. Be vigilant and prepared for both. The named island spots are the most risky but also offer the best opportunity to come out with a good amount of Weird Corals to make the run worthwhile.
