Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition Announced

Nordic Games has announced the Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition, a remastered version of Darksiders II for PS4 and Xbox One that includes all the DLC content, 1080p resolution and new tweaks to the gameplay. This remake will not be developed by Nordic Games but instead Gunfire Games.

In a press release for the Deathinitive Edition Nordic’s business and product development director, Reinhard Pollice, stated “We took over the franchise roughly two years ago and thought about the next chapter for Darksiders ever since then. Naturally (and extremely excitedly!), there will be a large-scale project based on Darksiders, but for now its is very important for us to take care of the existing games and make those available to a broader audience.”

So far no information regarding this mystery project has been leaked, but Pollice has hinted that another installment in the series is coming, which was sold at the THQ auction in 2013.

Judging from past installments it’s possible we’ll take control of another either Famine or Pestilence since the last two games have already starred War and Death.
