Darkest Dungeon: The Crimson Court Sells Over 175000 Copies, Upcoming Changes Detailed
The Crimson Court's getting more and more visitors.

Darkest Dungeon's latest DLC, The Crimson Court has been out for a bit over two weeks now and, Red Hook Studios have come forth announcing that it has sold over 175000 copies. The original game surpassed 1 million copies sold less than a year after the full launch, although, its true that it was quite the popular Early Access title. On top of that, the studio has been going over feedback from players, as shown by earlier hotfixes as well, and has detailed a couple of the upcoming changes. Firstly, the initial Courtyard quest now warns players that it's not exactly suitable for fresh characters and that it's also longer than a regular short run.
Addressing the Courtyard being locked behind Invitation drops which were RNG-based, Courtyard bosses now drop one invitation upon being dispatched. On top of that, and addressing Blood drop rates, a Gather The Blood quest will be made available in the Courtyard. This quest will require no Invitation and will be a primary, reliable source of Blood (and Courtyard content, for that matter). To balance it out, however, blood drops from enemies outside this quest will become less frequent. The Fanatic is getting his loot pool improved and will drop The Cure, an item which allows cleansing an afflicted hero of the Crimson Curse. Lastly, the targeted release date for the PS4 and PSVITA versions of The Crimson Court is August 22nd. Have a look at the full post on the game's website.
The Crimson Court is still taking a good chunk of my free time. If you'd like to read my thoughts on it, you'll find here the Darkest Dungeon: The Crimson Court Review.
