Super Mario Party Getting a New River Survival Mode

The latest installment in the long-running Mario Party franchise is getting a new mode for the newly released Super Mario Party for the Nintendo Switch called River Survival Mode.

This new mode, has 4 players working together to reach the goal at the end of a long river with multiple paths. Players will use the Joy Con controllers to row the boat and enter into a series of cooperative mini-games through each interval. Completing the mini-game will add more time on the clock to reach the end.

This is a welcome addition as Mario Party has always been a free-for-all competitive game with the exception of a few installments. This cooperative option will give players more options to choose from. However, the end result will provide statistics of who padded the most and how many balloons were collected.
