Here's a guide on whether to side with Mitsumune or Yaya and the consequences of choosing these options in Assassin's Creed Shadows.

'Heads Will Roll' is the main story, where you'll have to choose whether you want to side with Mitsumune and serve justice or side with Yaua and spare the guards.

Justice Must be Served Choice

If you choose this option, all the guards will be killed, and Yaya will walk away disappointed. This can create problems in recruiting Yaya as an ally in later missions.

Killing them isn't Justice.

If you choose this option, Yaya will become happy, increasing his chances of becoming an ally. However, Mitsumune still kills the guards even if you decide to forgive them.

Since Choosing Justice Must be Served, choose anger. If you want to recruit Yaya without hassle, you can play it safe and select the second option.
