Mass Effect and Dragon Age Will Not Be Directly Influenced By Anthem According to BioWare
Anthem will not change how Mass Effect and Dragon Age are treated

Those keeping track of Anthem's development have taken note that the game isn't the same as other notable titles from BioWare like Mass Effect and Dragon Age. Anthem will not include romance options and is more focused on multiplayer content. Those worried that Mass Effect and Dragon Age may follow in those footsteps shouldn't worry as Casey Hudson has confirmed that those games will be designed based on what it "should be".
On Twitter Casey Hudson stated:
Some weird stuff going around about how our future games will be influenced by Anthem. Of course when we do a Dragon Age game it will be designed from the ground up based on what Dragon Age should be. Same with Mass Effect...

Anthem is a specific thing that’s unique from our other IPs in many ways. What carries forward is what we learn about game design, which is a constant evolution.

So all of these franchises are being treated individually and not as a whole.
Anthem launches on February 22nd for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Mass Effect Andromeda and Dragon Age: Inquisition is now available for the same platforms.
