3D Realms' Ion Maiden Coming to Consoles Next Year

Ion Maiden is an old-school FPS from 3D Realms and Voidpoint, seeking to capture the feel of retro shooters like Duke Nukem. Now thanks to a partnership with 1C Entertainment physical editions of PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch will release alongside the Steam release.

In an official press release CEO of 3D Realms, Mike Nielsen, released a statement regarding the partnership.

"Presenting games like Ion Maiden to all of 3D Realms' fans is our number one priority," said Mike Nielsen, CEO of 3D Realms. "Partnering with 1C Entertainment means we can make our dedicated community happier by bringing Shelly to consoles."

Running at 4K and 60fps those who grew up with titles such as Doom and Wolfenstein will instantly feel at home with  Ion Maiden.

Ion Maiden is set to release in Q2 2019. It's now available on Steam Early Access for $19.99 in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Russian.
