Star Ocean: First Departure R Coming to PS4 and Nintendo Switch

It seems that Square Enix is bringing back their cult classic RPGs with The Last Remnant being remastered and now Star Ocean: First Departure R confirmed for PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

For those unfamiliar, Star Ocean stars 3 friends searching for a cure to a disease that spreads throughout the space federation. Who is in war with a galactic power. No gameplay was provided but new character art of the characters Roddick Farrence, Millie Chilette, and Dorne Murtough were released.

The last game to release was in 2016 called Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness for the PS4 (West) and PS3 (JP). It took place between Star Ocean: The Second Story and Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, the second and third games in the main Star Oceanseries.

This isn't a new game but perhaps if it sells well Square Enix may decide to restart the franchise.
