Darksiders Genesis now has a release date. Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Airship Syndicate today announced that the title is headed to PC and Google Stadia on December 5th. Console players will have to wait a bit longer, until February 14, 2020. Nothing quite like a good serving of demon slaughter on Valentine's Day.
Darksiders Genesis is the first title to feature Strife, the fourth horseman, as a playable character. A slight departure from previous Darksiders games, Genesis continues to focus on slaughtering demons, albeit from a top-down perspective. War also joins his brother on the battlefield. This means that in co-op, each player controls one horseman, while solo players will be able to quickly switch between the two horsemen. As you probably expect, War excels at melee combat, while Strife is more of a ranged character.
Darksiders Genesis is currently available for pre-order on Steam and headed to PC and Stadia on December 5.
