CD Projekt RED Will Upgrade All Xbox One Copies of Cyberpunk 2077 for Xbox Series X Owners for Free

CD Projekt RED has confirmed that those who purchase Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox One will get a free upgrade to Xbox Series X.

This story dropped after Microsoft revealed the specs for the Xbox Series X. Showing off everything they're promising to deliver. Such as 120 fps.

This isn't new. This generation companies like Ubisoft provided upgrades for games released both on last and this generation for $10. Such as Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. We will likely see other publishers do the same. But it's great to see that CD Projekt RED is offering another consumer-friendly option.

In addition, this likely won't be at launch. As CD Projekt RED has stated while they're planning to launch Cyberpunk 2077 on next-generation systems, it won't be at the launch of the PS5 or Xbox Series X. So it's likely months later. It's also likely these are only for digital purchases and not physical copies.

Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on September 17th for PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
