With Rage 2 and Wolfenstein: Youngblood filled with digital coins. However, Doom Eternal won't have any of that. With the creative director, Hugo Martin, confirming that the next game from id Software will be microtransaction free.
In a Facebook comment that has been shared online, Hugo Martin has confirmed that the upcoming DOOM Eternal will contain cosmetics, but players will have to unlock them by earning XP. So no Atomic Shop or digital coins, YES!
DOOM Eternal launches on March 20 for PS4, PC, Stadia, and Xbox One. It'll come to Nintendo Switch at a later date.
