Gears of War 4 Update Coming Tomorrow, Addresses Competitive Issue

The Coalition is still working hard on Gears of War 4, with a new update coming tomorrow that will address a serious issue.

The upcoming patch will solve kill trading according to The Coalition:

Tomorrow, we will be introducing a change to Kill Trading in Competitive that reduces the window to essentially zero.

With this change, only shots that reach the server at the same tick will count as a trade.

We will continue to listen and monitor your feedback on Trades.

For those unaware of what kill trading is it's when a situation where both players gunfight dies at the same time due to a latency of one of the players. This is course a simple explanation but a servable one. With this new system, The Coalition is hoping to eliminate kill trading by only allowing shots that reach the server at the same time they were fired to count, allowing for a more fluent experience.

Gears of War 4 is now available for Xbox One and Windows 10.
