Microsoft is on a roll

In an effort to entice PC gamers Microsoft has stated that Gears of War 4 will not only be playable on PC but will offer spilt-screen support.
This feature has been dying since the introduction of online gaming, with very few developers taking the time to incorporate the support. Many were vexed when Halo 5: Guardians didn't support split-screen with many taking aim at Phil Spencer's response to the issue. To see Microsoft taking the initiative to offers this feature across both platforms is shocking, they're listening to the community.
Players from both Windows 10 and Xbox One can play online for the campaign, cooperative, Horde mode, multiplayer versus mode against AI, and multiplayer versus mode in private and LAN games.
Gears of War 4 launches for Xbox One and Windows 10 on October 11. Those who pre-order the Ultimate Edition can play on October 7th.
