Retro Changes Images to a New Featuring New Metroid Banner

Metroid Prime 4 or Metroid Prime Trilogy coming to Switch

News by Grayshadow on  Feb 17, 2022

For some time Metroid Prime 4 has been in development. The last major update had Nintendo confirming that the studio had restarted production due to it not meeting quality standards and since then nothing. However, Retro Studios recently changed the banner on the game's Twitter to an image of Samus.

The image doesn't seem like something out of the trilogy but according to a rumor back in November 2021 Nintendo had produced the Switch version of Metroid Prime Trilogy already done. With Metroid Dread being a massive success this would be the best time to confirm its release and ride the wave.

This is grasping at straws as this could just be an image swap. However, Retro Studios is a massive company and one of Nintendo's most acclaimed developers. Changing an image doesn't just happen unless something is about to happen.
