Diablo IV Lord of Hatred Guide | Best XP And Paragon Farming Method
Farm huge XP, Paragon progress, and Boss Materials in Helltides by looping Hellworm Maggot spawns efficiently.

The Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred XP farming method centers around Helltides and the Maggots that spawn from Hellworms. These Maggots provide decent XP and Boss Material rewards, so it’s one of the best ways to push Paragon levels, ascend Torment tiers and farm useful endgame resources.
The method works because Hellworm spawns aren’t completely random. They’re impacted by your Threat Level and their fixed spawn locations. Once you learn where Hellworms appear, you can loop those spots during the same Helltide and repeatedly farm Maggots for XP and loot.
Requirements For The Farm
You need at least two points in the Helltide skill tree for Hellmouth and Wraith And Rot. Three points are better if you can take Bursting Brood, because it gives even more loot when the farm starts working properly.
You also need a build that is fast and tanky. Speed matters because you must move between spawn points quickly. Tankiness matters because once your Threat Level reaches the third bar, you should stop killing normal enemies and focus only on finding Hellworm spawns. A fragile build can struggle here because enemies will keep attacking while you search.

How The Hellworm XP Farm Works
Enter a Helltide as close to the start as possible. This gives you the longest farming window and reduces the need to rush. Your first goal is to build Threat Level quickly until you reach the third bar. At that point, Maggot spawns become the main target.
Once you reach the third Threat bar, avoid killing normal mobs as much as possible. If you kill too many enemies, the bar will fill up completely and it will break the farm rhythm. Move around the Helltide zone and look for Hellworm spawns. When a Hellworm appears, kill the Maggots for XP and Boss Materials, then remember the general location.
A useful trick is to leave some Boss Materials or trophies on the ground after killing the Maggots. When you pass that area again, the pile of loot works like a marker and reminds you where the spawn point is.

How To Loop Spawn Locations
After finding a few Hellworm spots, start rotating between them. These spawn points are fixed, so you can return to the same areas with a high Threat Level and look for more Maggot spawns. Keep farming the loop until your Threat Level maxes out naturally, then rebuild the Threat bar and repeat the cycle until the Helltide ends.
Hellworm spawns appear to have a cooldown, and other people in the zone can trigger them too. For better results, farm in a lower-population Helltide area or run the method with a group so you can identify and rotate between spawn points faster.
Best Way To Build Threat Level
Many people build Threat Level at the Blood Maiden, but that is not always the fastest method. Helltide-specific events are usually better because you get more kill credit. Look for events such as the Spire that drains your life and summons mobs, or the Fire Pillar event that spawns enemies while you dodge fire.
World Events inside Helltides also work well if your build is not durable enough for harder Helltide events. The key idea is simple: more personal kill credit means faster Threat gain.

Threat Management Tips
The most important part of this XP farm is staying in the third Threat bar as long as possible. Maggots start spawning at high Threat, and killing them increases the bar further. To extend the farm, ignore every enemy that is not a Maggot once you reach the correct Threat Level.
This feels awkward at first, but it makes the method much more efficient. With a fast, tanky build and a good Helltide route, this farming loop can produce excellent XP, fast Paragon progress, and a large amount of Boss Materials.
