Light Runic Attacks

Winter's Bite

The first light runic attack for the Leviathan Axe, Winter's Bite, is obtained after defeating the Stalker boss in the prologue. It delivers a powerful strike that applies frost and knocks back enemies.

Skadi's Edge

You can find Skadi's Edge, a light runic attack when you first enter Alfheim. This attack lets you mark multiple targets for the axe to hit, which staggers enemies and keeps them at bay.

Wrath of the Frost Ancient

Located in Vanaheim, Wrath of the Frost Ancient can be found by crawling through a hole in an area with exploding plants. This returning runic attack fires a frost laser beam, dealing with frost buildup over time.

Njord’s Tempest

Njord’s Tempest, a spin attack with a whirlwind effect that applies frost, can be found at one of the mining rigs in Svartalfheim. To get it, destroy the rig, lift the crane to its highest position, and jump across to find the chest containing this attack.

Hells Touch

Hells Touch is located in the second desert region of Alfheim during the "Song of the Sands" quest. After saving a giant jellyfish, you’ll find this attack by throwing your axe at a light crystal to open a path to the chest. This attack interrupts enemies and has a short cooldown.

Heavy Runic Attacks

Ivaldi’s Anvil

The first heavy runic attack, Ivaldi’s Anvil, can be found in Midgard at the Derelict Outpost. It delivers two frost-infused slams that launch enemies, with the second one sending them flying.

Fog of Fimbulwinter

Fog of Fimbulwinter is found in the tunnels of Svartalfheim. You’ll need to destroy brambles with the Blades of Chaos to reach a chest that holds this heavy, runic attack. It releases a wave of frost damage, ideal for hitting multiple enemies.

Mist of Helheim

Mist of Helheim is located in Vanaheim and can be found by following the "Conscience for the Dead" quest. At the end, lower a bridge, clear debris with sigil arrows, and open the chest. This heavy runic attack is great for dealing with heavy frost damage.

Leviathan’s Roar

Another heavy runic attack in Vanaheim is Leviathan’s Roar. To obtain it, return to where you fought the Forest Ancients, solve a puzzle involving a glowing wall, and grab the chest. This attack allows for two follow-up slams, creating a massive shockwave.

Breath of Thamur

The final heavy runic attack, Breath of Thamur, is located in Niflheim. After destroying 28 Ravens, open the fourth Raven chest to claim it. It creates a storm around Kratos, dealing increased frost damage when upgraded.
