Alberich Island: All Collectible & Locations
Collectibles Overview
- Nornir Chests: 1
- Legendary Chests: 1
- Lore: 1
- Odin's Ravens: 2
- Yggdrasil Rift: 1
- Berserker Gravestone: 1
- The Lost Treasure: 1
During your initial visit to this area, certain skills required to access some collectibles won't yet be available.
#1 – Nornir Chest
Head to Alberich Island by boat, landing on the northern beach of the large lake. Right on the shore, you'll spot the Nornir Chest. To unlock it, you'll need to hit three glyph seals in quick succession, all located on the beach.
The first seal is in the back left corner of the beach. Look for a wooden board marked with white symbols, and throw your axe at it to lift the glyph behind the metal bars. Once the glyph is visible, retrieve your axe quickly and hit the seal before it disappears again.
The second seal is located at the front left side of the beach. Use a green arrow to activate the wooden crane holding the glyph, then aim and strike it with your axe.
Finally, the third seal is situated directly behind the chest. Because the first seal involves a timed challenge, it's recommended to start with that one before moving on to the others. If you're too slow, the seals will reset, and you'll need to start over.
#2 – Berserker Gravestone (Asgard's Might – Amulet Enchantment)
On the beach, right next to the Nornir Chest, you'll find an interactable object. To use it, you'll need the story item "Inert Hilt of Skofnung," which is automatically acquired during Mission 9: The Word of Fate.
Interacting with this will summon a boss fight against "Beigadr the Feared," one of the tougher bosses in the game. To have a better chance at victory, it's advised to reach at least Gear Level 6, which is your equipment's average level shown in the top left of the weapons menu. The higher your gear level, the more manageable the fight will be.
#3 – Favor: The Lost Treasure
To complete this, you'll need the Spear weapon, which is unlocked automatically through the story. If you haven't obtained it yet, you'll need to return later. Near the Berserker Gravestone, look to the right and throw the spear into the wall where you see wind flowing out. This will create a path for you to climb.
Once you're up, turn immediately to your left to find a spirit offering the Favor called "The Lost Treasure." If you've already picked up this Favor from another spirit in the Alberich Hollow region, don't worry! Talking to this spirit will still give you a quest marker pointing to the end of Alberich Island. The Favor will automatically count as completed when you open the Legendary Chest collectible at the end of the area. Simply proceed with collecting everything else, and this will be checked off in the process.
#4 – Odin's Raven
After speaking with the spirit, follow the path to its end. On the left side of a broken bridge, you'll notice some green soundstones. Use a green arrow to destroy them. Behind the stones, you'll spot a raven flying in circles. Wait for it to pass by and throw your axe to take it down.
#5 – Yggdrasil Rift (Lindwyrm + Gale Spark)
From the Raven's location, turn right and follow the path to its end. There, you'll see a rock with wind coming out of it below a grappling point. Throw your spear at the rock to raise the grappling point. Once it's raised, use it to jump across to a platform in the water.
On this platform, you'll find the Yggdrasil Rift. It contains a Lindwyrm needed for the favor "The Lost Lindwyrms." To pull the Lindwyrm from the rift, you must have accepted this Favor from the Squirrel at Sindri's house, where he gives you the Lindwyrm Trap. Without the trap, you won't be able to complete this step. The Favor becomes available after Main Mission 09: Word of Fate, but since this area requires the spear from Main Mission 10, you should already have everything you need. After pulling out the Lindwyrm, interact with the rift again to mark it as complete.
#6 – Lore (Treasure Map – Washed Ashore)
From the Yggdrasil Rift, use the grappling hook at the edge of the platform. Once you land, turn left, and you'll find the treasure map scroll lying on the ground.
#7 – Odin's Raven
Immediately to the right of the previous collectible, you'll spot a gap in the rocks. Look through it to find the Raven.
#8 – Legendary Chest (Jewel of Yggdrasil)
From the Raven, turn around and throw a spear at the glowing rock, then blow it up. Pull the chains on the left until they're fully raised, and then throw your axe at the blue cog on the right to freeze it in place. Use the grappling hook to return to the middle platform and throw a spear at the glowing rock near the frozen cog. Blow it up to reveal a geyser that powers the elevator.
Head back to the chains and pull them all the way again, but this time shoot a purple arrow at the cog before throwing your axe to freeze it. This setup keeps the cog frozen even after retrieving the axe, thanks to the purple arrow. Return to the middle platform and throw your axe at the geyser to freeze it. Now, grapple to the elevator by the water wheel and unfreeze the geyser to activate the elevator.
Ride the elevator up and climb to the very top of the area. The Legendary Chest will be waiting for you there. Opening it will also complete The Lost Treasure objective for this region.
This concludes the full list of collectibles available in the Alberich Island area of God of War Ragnarök.
