Game Guide by TauxicPandA on Aug 17, 2025
In Grounded 2, you need to collect Weed Stems to craft different things.
You may get this resource from various sorts of Plants in the game world. Each type of plant requires a specific set of tools to be harvested properly.

Understanding Weed Types
Several Plant varieties qualify as Weeds in Grounded 2. Husky Weed represents one of the primary sources you'll encounter in Grounded 2.
You can locate these Plants in the starting area of the map, though weed varieties appear throughout the entire game world.
Husky Weed requires a level two Omni Tool Axe to harvest, making it a mid-game resource option.
Alternative Harvesting Methods
You don't have to get the level two Axe straight away. Dandelions are an easy way to gain stems early on in the game.

Head southeast from your starting point to find these Plants. It's easy to see Dandelion bunches since their leaves grow above the ground.
Harvesting Dandelions
Dandelions only require a level one Axe for harvesting, making them perfect if you are a new player in Grounded 2.
When you chop down these Plants, they collapse and drop Weed Stems directly.
The harvesting process takes some time with a level one Axe.

Resource Planning
There are several ways to get Weed Stems. You can use simple tools to focus on Dandelions, reach a level two Omni Tool Axe for Husky Weed harvesting, or explore the map to find more types of Weeds.
There are many other types of Plants in the game besides these two, so you can change how you gather resources in Grounded 2.
