In Grounded 2, Gnat Fuzz is an important crafting material, and understanding how to get it quickly can make your crafting go more smoothly.

Gnats look like little flying bugs that fly around certain bodies of water.

This guide will show you where to find the best spawn points for farming Gnat Fuzz in Grounded 2.

Hunting Mechanics

Gnats only show up around water sources, where they float and move in predictable ways. You will have to wait for them to get close enough to hit them.

You can kill a Gnat with a normal melee attack once it gets near enough.

The hunting process requires patience, as you must time your strikes when the insects move within your weapon's range.

Upon successfully killing a Gnat, you'll automatically collect Gnat Fuzz, which will appear in your inventory in Grounded 2.

Location #1 Primary Water Source

A water location that always has a lot of Gnats is a good place to start hunting.

This place has steady spawns and is a great place to start collecting Gnat Fuzz.

Because the terrain is clear, you can see the floating bugs well, which makes it easy to follow their movements and plan your attacks in Grounded 2.

Location #2 Quest Area Water Source

The second place is in an area that you can find early if you are following the main quest.

If you look at your map and go to the entrance area marker, you can find this place. While you're hunting Gnats here, keep an eye out for Mites and other dangerous creatures that spawn in this area.

Even with the extra dangers, this place still has regular Gnat spawns that make farming runs worth it in Grounded 2.

Location #3 Alternative Hunting Ground

If you need more Gnat Fuzz than the first two places can give you, there is a third hunting ground on your map.

This backup site makes sure you'll always have enough Gnat Fuzz, even when crafting demands go up.

This location, like the others, has consistent spawn cycles that make it possible to farm for long periods in Grounded 2.

Farming Strategy

Gnats have a respawn timer system, which means that insects that have been killed will eventually come back to where they were.

This feature allows you to set up a rotation between two or three recognized places, ensuring you can always get Gnat Fuzz without waiting too long.

You can get the most done by going to each place in order. This allows respawns to occur while you hunt in other areas.

This rotating method provides all the Gnat Fuzz you need for recipes in Grounded 2.
