How to Set Up Your Skills

First, go to a Shrine and choose the option to Manage Soul Cores. After that, open your Onmyo Box. In Nioh 3, there are two slots: the In Position and the Yang Position.

Pick a slot, then pick the core you want to use. After that, you can make it a shortcut on a D-pad button. These items are not in your normal collection, so you need to use this menu to get to them.

How to Use Cores in Battle

You can use the power of a core while you are fighting once you have assigned it to your D-pad. For instance, if you put a core in the top slot, you can use the ability by pressing Up on the D-pad.

There is a different effect for each core that can help you beat tough enemies. Check your Onmyo Box often to change out Soul Cores as you find them in Nioh 3.
