Coal becomes an important mining resource once you reach Fellhollow in RuneScape: Dragonwilds. Individual Coal Nodes can be easy to overlook because several are positioned along cliffs and cave walls, but one cave provides a particularly dense farming route.
Farm Coal Along the Fellhollow Cliffs
Once Fellhollow is accessible, follow the cliff faces and watch carefully for Coal Nodes embedded in the rock. Rocksplosion is useful for deposits positioned awkwardly on walls because it can break mineable ore within its area of effect.

Find the Cave Near Witchwillow Range
For a larger supply, travel from Witchwillow Range toward the nearby road and keep following the rock wall until you find a cave entrance. Break through the blocking rocks and enter the cavern. Bring at least an Iron Pickaxe and a Torch because the interior is extremely dark.

Mine the Cave Walls
Search around the outer walls, edges, and rock surfaces inside the cave. Coal Nodes are spread throughout the cavern, making this a strong location for collecting a large amount during one run. Rocksplosion can quickly clear tightly grouped deposits.
Watch for a Zogre deeper inside. If necessary, retreat toward the cave entrance and attack from a safer position. Zogres have an eight-day respawn time.
Using an Iron Pickaxe and Rocksplosion to clear the dense cave deposits near Witchwillow Range is an efficient way to farm large amounts of Coal.
