It's important to stay up to date with your research in Solarpunk, and the earlier you get used to unlocking, the easier your game will run. This guide describes the research system.

Solarpunk Guide Craft Research Table

The following is a list of the items you will need to get started.

You must first create a Crafting Table before you can research anything. Once you have done that, make the Research Table from it. This is where you'll find your starting point for all things moving forward.

How to Unlock Items

Open up the Research Table and browse through what's available. The resource requirement for each item is indicated next to it. For example, the Map costs two Cloth to unlock. Collect all the items requested, and use the collected items to unlock the item. Once unlocked, the Map can be accessed at any time by pressing M, and there is a quick access button on the map to see what else is available to unlock.

Moving to the Next Tier

As you progress through the current unlock level, you will eventually be able to advance to the next unlock level. The more you progress, the more items you will have to research, with each new tier. Continue to collect the items you need and steadily complete the list to ensure you have all the items necessary for a good run through Solarpunk.
