Solarpunk has a system for converting excess food into cosmetic unlocks, and it all goes through the Post Box and the Vending Machine. This guide covers how the whole process works.

Selling Food Baskets

Food Baskets are available at the Post Box. You will get 500 tickets (also known as recycler points) for every basket sold. The tickets will be added as baskets are sold.

Repairing the Vending Machine

There is only one vendor in the game, the Vending Machine. It needs one Cobalt to fix it so it can be used properly. The first repair will slow things down a little at the beginning, so be sure to have cobalt on hand before heading out there.

Claiming Items From the Vending Machine

Once you're at the vendor, dock your Airship and interact with the Vending Machine. After you have collected enough tickets, you can start to collect items, one at a time. Most of the items you can unlock here are cosmetic, such as new paint colors, statues, trees, and stones.

Here are some examples of what to use for tickets:

The main sources for tickets are your surplus animal products. If you have any Eggs, Milk and Truffles left over after using them for something else, you can use them to unlock more items from the machine and get more tickets.
