Here's a guide on how to get the Realm Unifier in Tales of Arise

Game Guide by Imdeadfrfr on  Jun 06, 2026

As you get closer to the climax of your travels across the world of Dahna, your most important consideration in gameplay is making the most of Alphen’s ability to dish out damage. To truly unlock his maximum martial potential during the challenging post-game content, you need to get his most iconic high-tier sword. The Realm Unifier is a legendary blade known throughout the realm, and is a spectacular pinnacle of late-game weapon forging.

This is a pretty sword with a great stat spread including a whopping five hundred fifty-four physical attack power. It has an equal five hundred and fifty-two elemental attack stat and an added five hundred and fifty-four points towards your penetration capabilities, matching this raw striking power. With this deadly weapon your frontline vanguard will easily smash enemy hyper-armor and slice through the toughest optional super-bosses in the game.

The visual design of this masterpiece is just as jaw dropping as the outstanding numerical combat statistics. And when unsheathed in battle, the sword shines a brilliant hue, symbolizing the ideal future union of both Dahna and Rena. And with this gear, Alphen goes from a simple freedom fighter to an unstoppable force that can cut through any late-game enemy.

But the creation of this legendary weapon is a complex, multi-stage epic quest that spans the last chapters of the main campaign and continues into the secret post-game. You don't simply buy this magnificent sword from a normal town merchant, or find it hidden inside a normal treasure chest. Instead you have to carefully farm a bizarre collection of rare monster drop components and complete specialized side content to unlock its forging blueprint.

The Iron Pipe of Mystery Locked

The Realm Unifier’s long and arduous treasure hunt begins with a very deceptive and unusual quest item. Before you can even look at the weapon's blueprints at a blacksmith, you have to get the Iron Pipe, which is a discarded item. This rusty metallic tube may look like a completely useless bit of junk, but it is actually the essential core structural foundation of the entire weapon.

First off, you need to progress the main quest until you can fast travel freely later in the game. This is the first step to tracking this little secret key component. Once you’re ready, teleport your party directly to the busy town of Niez deep in the heavily wooded Mahag Saar region. Go to the main streets of the settlement and find a mysterious non-player character who goes by the name of the Wonder Bard.

Niez itself is full of colorful characters, but the bard is a whole different animal, with his flashy clothes and grandiose bearing. He will not deploy the mission until the region’s central governing structures have been stabilized. So, check for the localized primary political conflicts before actively looking for his quest marker on your map.

Talking to this artistic wanderer will officially activate a special sub-quest called The Mysterious Pair. The eccentric bard will present Alphen with a mysterious riddle about a lost, legendary instrument he wants to study. Instead of spending hours trying to decipher the vague clues yourself, you can immediately focus on a totally different zone.

Pack up your party’s camping gear, and make a short sidetrip to the rocky, sunbaked canyons of the Iglia Wastes. Pull out your local map and head directly for the northernmost boundary trail of this desert canyon scene. Keep your eyes on the dusty ground as you near the rocky dead-end walls of the northern sector.

This massive desert wilderness is populated with various low-level enemies that you can safely skip to save valuable time. Just concentrate on the narrow canyons and climbing the natural stone ridges that go up to the top boundary of the map. This straightforward travel route will guarantee that you reduce the unneeded distractions while pursuing the legendary component.

And then you will see a very distinct glittering point, bright, shimmering right in the dirt near the rocks. When you interact with this specific environmental point, Alphen will bend down and yank the ancient Iron Pipe straight from the ground. Make sure to keep this prized possession safe in your inventory, because if you sell it by accident, you’ll never be able to get your hands on the best blade.

Exploring Tarfhal Helgarahi for Cursed Materials

Now that you have the key metallic pipe, your next tactical goal is to delve deep into the last dungeon of the main story. You have to keep pushing the story until your team is able to make their way into the giant, sinister floating structure called Tarfhal Helgarahi. The next two biological components to coat your future blade in devastating astral energies can be found in this alien fortress.

The architectural marvel rides foreboding inside the void of space, a shadowy monument to the power of old technology. The ambient lighting in the corridors is cold blue light coming from glowing network circuits. The surreal setting is the perfect dramatic background for the challenging farming sessions to get your legendary components.

Once you have safely passed through the main gateway, make your way down to the crystalline corridors of the Lower Levels, specifically the first floor. This high-tech zone is patrolled heavily by dangerous late-game zeugles that will attack your squad aggressively on sight. You actually have to go looking for a certain kind of floating, shadowy creature that scientists have named the Astral Sloth.

These weird floating things don’t attack quickly, but they pack a punch with magic, and can easily cause your backline spellcasters to get seriously staggered. You need to farm these floating aberrations until they drop a total of four Ominous Eyeballs. Use Law's fast boost attacks to cleanly break their casting animations and speed up your material gathering process.

It is highly recommended to manually control Alphen during these intense encounters to keep your physical combos tightly synced. Make use of Shionne's aerial support artes to ensure these airborne aberrations are never able to reset their posture. The best combat multiplier is when your team is pushing forward together, which will definitely help your item drop rates.

As you are actively going through the exact same lower level chambers, you will naturally cross paths with another variant of dark monster. These savage four-legged fiends are known in the game interface as the dreaded Astral Doubts. These monsters are surprisingly nimble, always lunging across the room to interrupt your companion’s casting routines.

To reliably harvest the next material you need, the Cursed Claw, you must kill these beasts in battle. To meet the blacksmith’s strict forging standards, you will need to successfully collect two of these razor-sharp claws. Stay disciplined in your defense, and use tight dodge rolls to perform perfect evades and swift counterattacks in these fights.

Infiltrating the Otherworld for the Blistering Fangs

You can’t get the last and most difficult crafting ingredient until you have officially completed the main narrative campaign of the game. When the final cinematic credits have rolled, you will need to load your finished save file, easily recognizable by a distinctive white star on the menu screen. This will seamlessly unlock the game’s vast post-game collection of challenging dimensional dungeons.

Return to the observation facility in the sky of Daeq Faezol with your high level party to start the specific hunting phase for this last material. Speak to the lower level scientists to start a series of major side-quests, beginning with the Spirit Temple and Another Hillside Anomaly. If you can get past these early hurdles, you’ll open up a huge post-game questline called Otherworldly Visitors.

This quest rewards you with the rare Scarlet Night Key, an ancient artifact needed to unlock a hidden dimensional gateway. Take this key to enter the swirling rift portal and descend straight into the oppressive heat of the Volcano of Renewal. The level scaling is much higher here in this fiery post-game zone, so you should be at least level sixty before you explore the depths of this zone.

This volcanic rift has an intensely oppressive interior atmosphere, with rivers of flowing magma blocking your movement. The extreme heat will also be reflected visually in your party characters, bringing a fantastic layer of immersion to your post-game exploration. To avoid accidentally dropping your vanguard into environmental hazards, it takes a steady hand to navigate these dangerous ledges.

Travel through the tunnels of the Lower Level of the volcano, filled with magma, until you encounter a breed of giant, tusked monsters, called Furious Boars. These giant mammal zeugles have huge health bars and will charge your party with unchecked physical fury. These beasts require lengthy battles to farm a total of five rare Blistering Fangs from their corpses.

These titanic creatures will often cloak their ponderous frames in blazing flames before charging across the chamber at a high rate of speed. You have to use Kisara’s unique shield boost attack to completely negate their charging momentum and cause an instant down state. This defensive move puts your fragile backline spellcasters in prime position to dish out the most damage possible to Alphen.

Use Rinwell’s high-tier water magic to exploit their elemental weaknesses and pin them down. In these encounters, keep your shared Cure Points pool perfectly maintained with premium gels, as a single stampede can easily clear out your frontline. Once you’ve successfully added the fifth burning fang to your inventory, the most arduous part of your gathering trip is finally complete.

Getting the Wealth and Making the Weapon

And there you have it , all four of the rare physical components secured . Now all that remains is to handle the financial aspect of the blacksmith's work . "To forge a legendary weapon of this level, a large flat fee of twenty thousand eight hundred Gald is required. Fortunately, this exact amount of currency will come naturally from selling the surplus of armor drops and duplicate materials obtained while farming the Furious Boars.

If your wallet is heavy enough, travel to any campsite campfire or visit a traditional merchant terminal inside any major city. Go to the weapon crafting menu and scroll down till you see the beautifully rendered image of the Realm Unifier. The blacksmith will automatically take an Iron Pipe, four Ominous Eyeballs, two Cursed Claws and five Blistering Fangs from you.

Verify the transaction to see the blacksmith permanently fuse these disparate components into a magnificent masterpiece of Dahnan craftsmanship. Alphen will equip the radiant, high-performance blade right away, instantly raising his combat presence to godlike levels. Now you are fully prepared to face the ultimate post-game challenges and solidify your absolute legacy as the true savior of two worlds.
