Tales of Arise provides players with a huge, beautifully realized world with deep real-time combat mechanics and plenty of gear options. In terms of your core party members, Rinwell is your absolute premier spellcaster, able to channel devastating area-of-effect astral magic like no other. You have to craft her best physical weapon to be able to fully unlock her max offensive power in tough post-game battles.

On the other side of the border of Dahna, this legendary astral book is called the Ring of Oblivion. When equipped, this great book gives her magical stats a huge boost with a phenomenal 608 elemental attack stat. To match this immense spellcasting power, she is complemented by a respectable 499 physical attack score and a staggering 552 points towards her penetration value.

With this masterpiece of arcane technology in hand, Rinwell is an absolute force of nature on the battlefield. Her high tier casting loops will easily break enemy defenses and she can shred through huge health bars in seconds. But in many ways it requires a very calculated approach to get the necessary materials for this ultimate weapon.

How to Reach the Post-Game Recipe Entry

During the first few chapters, you won’t just happen upon the Oblivion Ring while looting regular treasure chests or buying from simple town vendors. You will only be able to see the specialized crafting blueprint in your forge weapon interface at the absolute climax of the main story. In particular, you need to push your story progress until your party actually returns from the advanced planet of Rena.

You can look at the recipe entry at this point in the late-game, but actually crafting the item is strictly an end-game activity. You have to beat the last series of main story bosses and let the emotional credits play all the way through. Then the system will ask you to create a clear data save file so you can save your achievements.

This special save slot will be featured in your main menu with a bright, unique white star icon. Loading this particular star-marked file will bring your party back to the world just before the final sequence, but with advanced world activities unlocked. This is your official entry point for collecting the high level components for the tome.

Begin the journey to the otherworld

Many of the elite crafting materials needed for the Oblivion Ring are buried away outside of the usual map boundaries. To find them you must enter a strange parallel universe known simply as the Otherworld. To unlock this perilous post-game play area, you need to complete a series of localized side quests.

Your dimensional adventure begins with a visit to the marble city of Viscint in the prosperous Menancia. Look for quest givers on main streets, the ones dealing with strange structural disturbances in the area. You need to accept and complete the first sub-quest, called Another Hillside Anomaly.

This first anomaly will directly unlock a much larger, multi-level post-game assignment called Otherworldly Visitors. This elite questline will enable your vanguard to open massive rift portals hidden across the lands of Dahna. These rifts lead to high level zones filled with terrifying creatures that have the rarest resources in the game.

Collecting the Mystic Luminacores

The first major resource requirement on your endgame crafting checklist is ten Mystical Luminacores These brilliant cores are not some of the rarer dimensional items, and can be harvested within the limits of your home world. To grow them, you have to focus on a very specific strain of botanical monsters.

Set your fast travel coordinates directly to the giant structural phenomenon known to your party as The Wedge. Follow the twisting organic hallways of this labyrinthine area until you find yourself face-to-face with dangerous plant-like freaks known as Blooming Ropers. These stationary foes will hinder your party's movement with sweeping vine attacks and poisonous spores.

To speed up this farming process, it is very much recommended to manually control Alphen and unleash rapid sword combinations. Use Law’s physical boost attacks to break through the ropers’ natural defenses, and put them into a prolonged downed state. Continue clearing these monster packs and resetting the map zones until all ten luminacores are safely in your inventory.

Gathering the Rare Dark Tree Blood

Once you’ve finished your botanical hunting expedition in The Wedge, you have to walk right through the otherworldly rift portals. The next item on your required checklist is four vials of rare Dark Tree Blood. This particular essence is known to be one of the hardest to successfully harvest crafting items in the entire game.

Wander the whirling portal routes until you get to the creepy, poorly lit sub-zone called the Spirit Forest Shallows. The otherworldly sector is heavily patrolled by aggressive, glowing versions of monsters known as Illuminated Ropers. These creatures possess massive health reserves and deadly magical bursts that can surprise your backline.

Take a breather at a campsite for a while, and eat some cooked food, before you take on these lighted fiends. Select a dish that boosts your party’s item drop rate specifically and you’ll be able to reduce the time you spend farming in this treacherous area. Play a strong defensive game, rolling with precision to avoid attacks and activate perfect evades to punish foes with Rinwell's light magic.

Dark Manes: Wolf Hunting Force

The third material you need to complete the structural binding of the Oblivion Ring takes you back to the stars. You are required to successfully obtain a pair of rare items known as Dark Manes from a high-tech interstellar destination. Teleport your high-level party straight into the sterile, high-tech corridors of the Renan installation known as Lenegis.

Search for predatory beasts known as Force Wolves by entering the high security maintenance sectors and residential pathways of the station. They are extremely speedy enemies that march in aggressive packs constantly lunging across the battlefield to ambush your vulnerable spellcasters. They have a very high agility which allows them to get close and break long casting animations.

You’ll need to coordinate Shionne’s long-range rifle support with your frontline vanguard to safely neutralize these lupine threats. Make Alphen use his flaming sword techniques to do massive area of effect damage, make the wolves stagger back. Hunting these packs over and over will eventually yield you the two Dark Manes you need for your collection.

Slaughter Astral Famine for Grand Feathers

Two Majestic Feathers are the final monster-dropped ingredient required for the arcane synthesis. To get these beautiful and energy filled feathers you will have to go into the heart of the last dungeon of the main story. Straight to the great, cosmic chambers of the floating fortress known as Tarfhal Helgarahi.

Seek out the majestic airborne avian monsters called Astral Famine in the luminous blue hallways of the upper levels. These winged terrors sweep the combat arena with high speed diving attacks and razor sharp wind magic. They are very frustrating to hit with normal close-range physical combos due to their persistent aerial position.

When they fly up into the air, use Shionne’s special anti-aerial boost strike to bring these bird demons down from the sky with as little fuss as possible. When grounded these creatures are completely helpless and Law and Alphen can unleash their most devastating physical artes. Consistently exploiting this aerial vulnerability will net you the two feathers you need to quickly satisfy the recipe.

Collecting Gald and the Final Synthesis

The collecting of your grand collection of rare monster drops is only half the battle in trying to forge an ultimate weapon. The greatest craftsmen that journey the lands of Dahna require a lot of coin to complete their legendary work. In particular, you need to gather a flat forging fee of precisely 22,880 Gald to complete the transaction.

It is actually pretty easy to get this much money in the post-game if you know where to go. Localized Training Grounds offer you the opportunity to attempt high-tier solo and group trials for large cash payouts right from the start. Or you can quickly fill up your coin purse by selling off excess duplicate lower-tier monster materials or valuable mined ore commodities.

Once your money is fully secured, go to any major city blacksmith, or approach the versatile merchant terminal at any campsite. Open the special weapon crafting menu and go straight to Rinwell’s special equipment category. The crafting interface will automatically use your hard-earned materials and coins to synthesize the legendary tome.

First thing you want to get on is Oblivion Ring, and it makes Rinwell godlike immediately in combat for all late game content. Her advanced light spells will land with monumental force, giving you the firepower you need to clear the toughest optional super-bosses. This weapon is a proud statement of your complete domination over the game’s endgame content.
